What Is El Taller?
El Taller means “the workshop” in Spanish. It is the hands-on area inside the shop where guests can pot their own plant with guidance.
El Taller is our little workshop inside the shop — a place to slow down, get your hands in the soil, and create a living piece for your home. Choose from Talavera, barro, and other Mexican-made vessels, pair it with a succulent or plant, and we’ll guide you through the potting process.
We host a variety of different potting events such as:

How It Works
No experience is needed. We provide the materials, the guidance, and the finishing details. You leave with a planted piece that feels personal, giftable, and ready for your home.

Private Events
El Taller can also be reserved for private gatherings. Host a birthday, shower, team outing, client event, day out in Carlsbad, family activity, or neighborhood get-together surrounded by pottery, plants, and beautiful objects from Mexico.
Private events can be structured as guided potting experiences, casual open-house gatherings, or a mix of shopping, planting, and social time.
Private events may include access to the potting table, guided planting support, soil and finishing materials, setup and cleanup, and help selecting pots and plants. Pricing depends on group size, vessel selection, plant selection, and event format.
